Urgent ,, shooting down a drone warplane in the sky of Ma’rib, Yemen
The Ansar Allah group (Houthis) said that, on Monday, it shot down a military drone belonging to the Saudi Air Force in the Marib Governorate, northeast of Yemen.
In a brief statement, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the military spokesman for the Houthi group, said that the air defenses of his group shot down a Chinese-made reconnaissance fighter plane (CH4) belonging to the Saudi Air Force.
Pointing out that the reconnaissance plane was targeted by a suitable missile, which has not been announced yet, while it was carrying out hostile missions in the Madghal district northwest of Ma’rib, without giving any other details.
There was no immediate official comment from the Saudi authorities or the coalition forces.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia has led a military alliance in Yemen to support the Hadi government, and it has not reached any result, since most of the densely populated areas support the Houthi group.
